How to Draw a Volleyball Net
Draw a volleyball net in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two posts.
Step 1: Two posts
Near each side of your paper, draw a tall thin post from low down up to near the top.
Step 2: Top tape
A little down from the post tops, draw a long thin bar from post to post: the tape.
Step 3: The ball
Near the left post, draw a round ball down at the post bottoms. Add 2 big eyes with black dots.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye. Draw a wide U smile and stop under the right eye. Add 2 cheeks.
Step 5: Triangle and swooshes
Around the face draw a soft triangle. From each corner, swoosh out to the edge, all leaning one way.
Step 6: Stripe lines
From the edge beside each swoosh, draw a curve round next to a side, stopping on the next swoosh.
Step 7: Net down
From the tape, draw 8 thin lines halfway down the posts, stopping at the ball. Join their bottoms.
Step 8: Net across
Draw 3 thin lines straight across from post to post, evenly spaced, to finish the net.
Step 9: Grass
Draw a ground line along the post bottoms and out to each edge. Add 3 grass blades at each end.
Step 10: Yellow stripes, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the 3 curved stripes on the ball yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Blue panels
Colour the 3 outside panels of the ball blue, right up to the edge. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Grey posts, red tape
Colour the posts grey and the tape red. Your volleyball net is ready for a game!
