How to Draw a Cricket Bat

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a cricket bat in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the blade.

Print

  1. Step 1: The blade

Left of the middle, draw a tall flat blade, a rectangle twice as tall as wide, with soft bottom corners.

  2. Step 2: Happy face

High on the blade draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Add a wide U smile and 2 cheeks.

  3. Step 3: The shoulders

Start at the blade's top-left corner. Slant up and in, go across, and slant down to the top-right corner.

  4. Step 4: The handle

From the flat top of the shoulders draw 2 close lines straight up to a round end.

  5. Step 5: Grip wraps

Draw 4 short slanted lines across the handle, from edge to edge, for the grip tape.

  6. Step 6: The ground

Start left of the blade. Draw a flat ground line along its bottom, stopping well past it on the right.

  7. Step 7: The ball

On the ground right of the blade, draw a round ball with a straight seam and 4 tiny stitches.

  8. Step 8: Two sparkles

Draw 2 small 4-point sparkle stars in the air, 1 on each side of the bat.

  9. Step 9: Yellow and pink

Colour the 2 sparkle stars yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Tan blade

Colour the blade and the shoulders tan, like pale wood, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Grey handle, red ball

Colour the handle grey and the ball red. Go over your lines and your cricket bat is done!
