How to Draw a Villain
Draw a villain in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above for a tall hat and below for the cape.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 oval eyes with dots. Add soft arched eyebrows, a U nose and a smile.
Step 3: Curly moustache
Under the nose, draw a thin moustache with curly ends flicked up. Colour it black.
Step 4: Top hat
Above the eyebrows, draw a flat brim. Draw a tall crown from the brim up, across, and back to it.
Step 5: Neck and cape
Draw 2 neck lines. From behind the left shoulder, draw the cape down to a wavy hem, and back up.
Step 6: Tail coat
From the neck lines, draw round shoulders and a coat down to the hem, leaving 2 arm gaps.
Step 7: Lapels and bow tie
From each neck line, draw a slanting line down to a V on the chest. Add a bow tie.
Step 8: Sleeves and hands
From each shoulder, draw a long sleeve down to the wrist. Bend the left one across. Add mitten hands.
Step 9: Walking cane
From under the left hand, draw a thin cane slanting down to the ground. Add a round knob on top.
Step 10: Trousers, shoes and ground
From the coat hem, draw 2 trouser legs down to a shoe each, toes out. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin, brown cane
Colour the face around the moustache, the neck and hands peach, and the cane brown.
Tip Leave the eyes and the cane knob white.
Step 12: Purple cape, grey coat
Colour the cape purple, and the coat and sleeves dark grey around the white shirt.
Step 13: Red tie, black hat
Colour the bow tie red, and the hat, trousers and shoes black. Your villain is done!
