How to Draw a Magician
Draw a magician in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 small oval eyes with shines. Add a tiny nose and a smile.
Step 3: Top hat
Above the eyes, draw a flat oval brim. Start on it, draw a tall box crown, back to the brim.
Step 4: Neck and coat
Draw 2 neck lines. From them, draw round shoulders and a coat down to the hips, leaving 2 arm gaps.
Step 5: Lapels and bow tie
From each neck line, draw a slanting line to a V on the chest. Add a bow tie.
Step 6: Long sleeves
From each shoulder, draw a long sleeve that ends in its gap. Bend the left sleeve up at the elbow.
Tip Leave the wrist ends open for the hands, with a cuff line just above.
Step 7: Mitten hands
On the right, draw a mitten hanging from the sleeve. On the left, close the sleeve with a round fist.
Step 8: Magic wand
From the fist, draw a thin wand slanting up and away. Add a 5-point star just past the tip.
Step 9: Trousers, shoes, ground
Start at the left hem end. Draw trouser legs down and up to the right end. Add shoes and ground.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck and hands peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Keep the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow star, red tie
Colour the star yellow and the bow tie red. Leave the wand tip and shirt white.
Step 12: Purple coat, black hat
Colour the coat and sleeves purple around the shirt and bow tie, and the hat, trousers, shoes and wand black.
