How to Draw a Nurse
Draw a nurse in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the dress and legs.
Step 2: The face
Across the middle of the face draw 2 big round eyes. Add a tiny U nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Start on the left of the head. Draw hair over the top to the right. Add a fringe.
Step 4: Bob
On each side, from the hair, draw the bob straight down near the face and round it at the jaw.
Step 5: Nurse's cap
On top of the hair draw a cap: up, a curve across, and down to the hair. Add a plus.
Step 6: Neck and dress
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a dress with a wide hem, up to the right one.
Step 7: Apron and cross
On the dress draw an apron: a bib on the chest, wider below, down near the hem. Add a plus.
Step 8: Arms
From under each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, a little closer together at the bottom.
Step 9: Mitten hands
Start at the end of each arm. Draw a round mitten with a thumb pointing in, back to the arm.
Step 10: Legs, shoes and ground
Start on the hem. Draw 2 lines down to a shoe for each leg. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink, then the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Sky-blue dress, red crosses
Colour the dress sky blue, leaving the apron and cap white, and colour the 2 plus signs red.
Step 13: Brown hair, white shoes
Colour the hair brown and leave the shoes white. Go over your lines.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a nurse, drawn by you.
