How to Draw a Viking Helmet
Draw a Viking helmet in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the dome.
Step 1: The dome
Above the middle, start on the left. Draw a big round dome up and over, stopping level on the right.
Step 2: The brow band
Under the dome, draw a wide band a little wider than the dome, with a gentle smile along the bottom.
Step 3: Face and big eyes
From under the band, draw a short cheek line down each side and stop. Add 2 big egg eyes between.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a small U smile in the middle. Add a small oval cheek under each eye.
Step 5: The nose guard
Start on the band between the eyes. Draw a narrow bar down, round the bottom, and back to the band.
Step 6: Two big horns
On each side of the dome, draw a big horn sweeping out and up to a rounded tip.
Step 7: Bushy beard
From the end of each cheek line, draw a small chin U and a big bumpy beard U round it.
Step 8: Rivets
Along the band, draw 4 tiny round rivets, 2 on each side of the nose guard.
Step 9: Peach face, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink, then the face peach around them, but not the nose guard. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Cream horns, ginger beard
Colour the horns cream and the beard ginger.
Step 11: Grey helmet, brown band
Colour the dome grey, and the band, rivets and nose guard brown. Your viking helmet is done!
