How to Draw a Hot Water Bottle
Draw a hot water bottle in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bottle.
Step 1: The bottle
In the middle draw a tall bottle: straight sides, round bottom corners, and sloping shoulders up to a narrow top.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the upper part of the bottle draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and an oval cheek below each eye, out to the side.
Step 4: Neck and cap
On the narrow top draw a short neck, then a flat cap a bit wider with a line across it.
Step 5: Rib lines
Across the top of the bottle, above the face, draw 2 lines from side to side for the ribs.
Step 6: The cosy
Round the lower part of the bottle draw a wide band from side to side, for the knitted cosy.
Step 7: Stitches
Inside the cosy draw a row of 5 little V marks for the knitting stitches.
Step 8: Warmth lines
Draw 3 short wiggly lines rising up above the bottle, one over the cap and one over each shoulder.
Step 9: Ground line
Start near the left edge and draw a straight ground line under the bottle, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw a few little 4-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 11: Pink and yellow
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 12: Red bottle
Colour the bottle, neck and cap red, around the cheeks and the cosy band. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Blue cosy
Colour the cosy band blue.
