How to Draw a Red Envelope
Draw a red envelope in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the envelope.
Step 1: The envelope
In the middle of your paper, draw a tall box standing up, about twice as tall as it is wide.
Step 2: The flap
Start at the top left corner. Slant down to a point in the middle, then up to the top right.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Under the flap, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Draw a U smile under the eyes. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: A round seal
On the point of the flap, draw a small circle for the gold seal.
Step 6: A gold circle
Low on the front, under the smile, draw a big circle with a small diamond inside it.
Tip Leave a finger of space between the circle and the sides.
Step 7: The ground
Along the bottom of the envelope, draw a long ground line from one side of the paper to the other.
Step 8: Two sparkles
Draw a small 4-point sparkle star beside each top corner of the envelope.
Step 9: Gold seal and circle
Colour the seal and the big circle yellow like gold.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Red envelope
Colour the envelope red around the seal, circle and cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Your envelope is ready to give!
