How to Draw a Vegetable Garden
Draw a vegetable garden in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: soil bed.
Step 1: Soil bed
Below the middle, draw a wavy line from left to right, then a box down to a long ground line.
Step 2: The fence
Draw a tall thin post at each end. Start on the left post and draw 2 rails to the right.
Step 3: Carrots
On the left, draw 3 round humps poking out of the soil. Start and stop each on the soil line.
Step 4: Carrot leaves
From the top of each carrot, draw 3 thin pointy leaves fanning up, in front of the fence.
Step 5: Two lettuces
In the middle, draw 2 frilly balls sitting on the soil, just touching. Put 2 curved lines inside each.
Step 6: A cabbage
On the right, draw a bigger smooth ball. Add a curved V and a line up the middle.
Tip Keep the cabbage smooth, not bumpy, so it looks different from the lettuces.
Step 7: A sign
Between the carrots and lettuces, start on the soil and draw a stick up. Stop at a box on top.
Step 8: The sun
Draw a round sun with 8 short rays in the top right.
Step 9: Yellow and orange
Colour the sun yellow and the carrot humps orange.
Step 10: Green leaves
Colour the carrot leaves, the lettuces and the cabbage green.
Step 11: Wooden fence
Colour the fence posts, the sign and its stick light brown.
Step 12: Brown soil
Colour the soil dark brown, going around the vegetables. Your vegetable garden is done!
