How to Draw a Van

Draw a van in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: loaf top.

Step 1: Loaf top
Start low on the left. Go up, round the corner, along the roof and down. Stop level with the start.
Tip It is an upside-down U, almost twice as long as it is tall.
Step 2: Floor with wheel bumps
Start at the bottom of the front wall. Draw the floor with 2 rainbow bumps. Stop at the back wall.
Step 3: Headlight eye and smile
Near the front draw a big circle eye with a black dot. Draw a smile under it, inside the front.
Step 4: Tyres and bumper
Under each bump draw a big tyre, a little smaller than the bump. Add a pill bumper at the front.
Tip Each tyre is almost half as tall as the van.
Step 5: The big windscreen
A finger inside the front corner draw a big window that follows the curve. It is wider than tall.
Step 6: 2 side windows
Behind the windscreen draw 2 rounded rectangles, the same height. The back one is longer.
Step 7: The V stripe
Start on the back wall. Draw a level line with a small V over the eye. Stop at the front.
Step 8: Door and tail light
Between the wheels draw 2 door lines from the stripe down to the floor. Add a handle and tail light.
Step 9: Hubcaps and road
Draw a hubcap with a dot in each tyre. Start before the van, draw a straight road, stop behind it.
Step 10: Cream top, yellow light
Colour the top of the van cream, going around the windows. Colour the tail light yellow.
Step 11: Sky windows
Colour all 3 windows sky blue, leaving a little shine white.
Step 12: Grey bumper, teal bottom
Colour the bumper grey and the bottom teal, around the eye, handle and light. Leave the eye white.
Step 13: Black tyres
Go over your lines. Colour the tyres black, going around the white hubcaps.
