How to Draw a Vampire Bat
Draw a vampire bat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the face.
Step 1: The face
Above the middle of your paper, draw a round face like an upside-down teardrop, with a soft pointy chin.
Tip Leave lots of room on both sides for the wings.
Step 2: Tall pointy ears
On top of the head, draw 2 tall pointy ears leaning out, with a smaller teardrop inside each one.
Step 3: Leaf nose
Above the chin, draw a leaf nose: a teardrop standing on its round end, pointing up.
Step 4: Smile and fangs
Under the nose, draw a U smile, twice as wide as the nose. Hang 2 little pointy fangs from it.
Step 5: Big eyes
Across the middle of the head, draw 2 big eyes one eye apart. Add a black dot and a shine.
Step 6: Low wide body
Under the chin, draw a low wide body like a bun, from one cheek round to the other.
Step 7: Left folded wing
Start behind the body. Draw up to a pointy top, down to the ground, then 3 bumps back.
Step 8: Right folded wing
Draw the same folded wing on the right side: pointy top, down to the ground, 3 bumps back.
Step 9: Fingers and claws
From each pointy top, fan 2 finger lines down to where the bumps meet. Add a hooked claw on top.
Step 10: Feet and ground
Under the tummy, draw 2 little round feet with toe lines. Then draw a long ground line across the paper.
Tip Feet and wing tips all stand on the line.
Step 11: Pink ears and nose
Colour the inside of the ears and the leaf nose pink. Leave the fangs white and go over your lines.
Step 12: Grey fur and wings
Colour the head, ears, body, wings, claws and feet dark grey, around the pink. Leave the eyes white.
