How to Draw a Valkyrie

15 steps · Tricky · about 11 min

Draw a valkyrie in 15 steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Egg head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the dress and shield.

  2. Step 2: The face

Below the middle of the head draw 2 eyes with a black dot and a lash. Add a nose, smile.

  3. Step 3: Round helmet

Start on the left of the head above the eyebrows. Draw the helmet over the head, down to the right.

  4. Step 4: Helmet wings

On each side of the helmet draw a wing pointing up. Give its outside edge 3 soft feather bumps.

  5. Step 5: Neck and dress

Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw the dress down to a wide hem, back to the right.

  6. Step 6: Breastplate

On the chest draw the breastplate: a flat top under the neck and a soft point at the bottom.

  7. Step 7: Long hair

On each side start under the helmet. Draw the hair out past the cheek and down. Stop on the shoulder.

  8. Step 8: Round shield

Beside the left hip draw a big round shield over the dress. Add a ring inside and a small middle.

  9. Step 9: Arms

From the left sleeve draw 2 lines down to the shield. Right arm: stop at the wrist, add a mitten.

Tip Each arm gets a little thinner towards the wrist.

  10. Step 10: Legs and boots

Start on the hem. Draw 2 lines for each leg, stop at the boots. Add 2 tall boots.

  11. Step 11: Ground line

Start left of the shield. Draw a long ground line under both boots, stop past the right boot.

  12. Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour pink cheeks, then the face around them and the neck, arms, hand and legs peach. Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Grey armour, yellow hair

Colour the helmet and breastplate grey. Leave the wings white. Colour the hair and the shield middle yellow.

  14. Step 14: Blue dress, red shield

Colour the dress blue around the breastplate. Colour the shield red around its yellow middle.

  15. Step 15: Brown boots

Colour the boots brown. Go over your lines and your valkyrie is done!
