How to Draw a Valentine Heart
Draw a Valentine heart in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big heart.
Step 1: The big heart
Start at a dip near the top. Curve down to a soft point, then curve back up to the dip.
Tip Big and chunky: 2 fat humps and a soft point.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the widest part of the heart draw 2 big egg eyes. Add big black dots with white shines.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The arrow tip
Up past the top right hump draw a little arrow tip pointing up and right: a triangle with a notch.
Step 5: The arrow shaft
Start at the arrow tip. Draw 2 close lines slanting down left behind the heart, ending in 2 feathers.
Tip The arrow goes right through the heart, so only the ends show.
Step 6: Little hearts
Draw 3 tiny hearts floating round the big one: one up left, one right, and one low right.
Step 7: Shine and sparkles
On the top right hump draw a little bean for the shine. Draw 2 sparkle stars, one each side.
Step 8: Pink cheeks and hearts
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks and the 3 little hearts pink.
Step 9: Wood arrow, yellow tip
Colour the arrow shaft wood brown, and the tip, feathers and sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Red heart
Colour the heart red around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes and shine white. Your valentine is ready to send!
