How to Draw a Shape Sorter
Draw a shape sorter in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box front.
Step 1: The box front
A little below the middle of your paper draw a box, wider than it is tall, sitting on the ground.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
On the box draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart, each with a black dot. Leave the rest white.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Draw a small flat oval cheek out beside each eye.
Step 4: Top and side
Draw a slanted top on the box, then a thin right side down to the box's bottom corner.
Step 5: Shape holes
On the top draw the holes in a row: a star, a circle, a slanted square and a triangle.
Step 6: The star block
Beside the box's right side, draw a small star block standing on its 2 bottom points.
Step 7: Blocks on the ground
Draw a round block on the left of the box, and a square block to the right of the star.
Step 8: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a ground line across and stop near the right edge.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 2 little sparkles in the air above the box.
Step 10: Sand top, yellow box
Go over your lines. Colour the top light sand, then the front, side and sparkles yellow, around the face.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, grey holes
Colour the cheeks pink and the 4 holes grey.
Step 12: Red and blue blocks
Colour the star block and the ball red, and the square block blue. Your shape sorter is done!

Your finished drawing
