How to Draw a Heart Locket
Draw a heart locket in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the heart locket.
Step 1: The heart locket
Below the middle of your paper draw a big chunky heart: 2 humps on top, a point at the bottom.
Step 2: Loop and chain
Between the 2 humps draw a small arch. From each side, curve a chain up to the top corners.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the heart, below the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes an eye apart. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The lid
Inside the heart draw a second, smaller heart round the face, a small gap in from the edge.
Step 6: Hinge and clasp
On the left, in the gap, draw a tiny box for the hinge. On the right draw one small square.
Step 7: Clasp rings and beads
On the top end of each chain draw a small round ring. Then draw 4 little beads along each chain.
Step 8: Shine and sparkles
High on the right hump draw one tiny curve for the shine. Draw 4 sparkle stars round the locket.
Step 9: Cream lid, pink cheeks
Colour the lid inside the rim cream, leaving the eyes white, and colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Gold locket
Go over your lines, then colour the heart's rim, the hinge, clasp, arch, chain rings and beads yellow like gold.
Step 11: Sky sparkles
Colour the sparkles sky blue, and your heart locket is done!
