How to Draw a Turkey Flag
Draw a turkey flag in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top. Add a ball.
Step 2: Top and side
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a wavy line right, then straight down. Stop just past halfway down.
Tip Make the flag wide: it is one and a half times as long as it is tall.
Step 3: Bottom edge
Start at the bottom of the straight side. Draw a wavy line back to the pole.
Tip The bottom edge copies the waves of the top edge.
Step 4: A light middle line
Lightly draw a wavy line across the middle of the flag. Start at the pole, stop at the right edge.
Tip Press softly. The moon and the star both sit on this line, and you rub it out later.
Step 5: A big C
Left of the middle draw a big round C. Start at the top tip, stop at the bottom tip.
Tip The C is half as tall as the flag. Its gap faces right.
Step 6: The crescent moon
Draw a second curve inside the C. Start at the top tip and stop at the bottom tip.
Tip Make the moon fattest on the left and pointed at both tips.
Step 7: The star
Just right of the moon's tips draw a 5-point star. Aim one point at the moon.
Tip The star is half as tall as the moon. Its left point sits on the middle line.
Step 8: Ground line
Rub out the middle line. Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from left to right.
Step 9: Yellow ball
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow.
Step 10: Grey pole
Colour the pole grey.
Step 11: Red flag
Colour the whole flag red, around the moon and the star. Leave the moon and star white.
Tip Go over your lines. Your Turkish flag is waving!
