How to Draw a Record Player
Draw a record player in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the turntable.
Step 1: The turntable
A little left of the middle, just above it, draw a wide flat oval like a plate from the front.
Step 2: The box
Under the oval, draw a big soft box, wider than tall. Its top edge runs through the oval's middle.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the left half of the box front, draw 2 big egg eyes with a black dot and white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Draw a wide U smile under the eyes. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The record
Inside the oval, draw a smaller oval record, leaving a thin rim. Add a tiny label oval with a dot.
Step 6: The tonearm
Draw a circle on the box top, right. From it, draw a straight arm to a box on the record.
Step 7: Knobs and slider
On the right, draw 2 knobs, one above the other, each with a tick. Add a tall slot beside them.
Step 8: Feet and ground
Under the box, draw 2 square feet near the corners, and a ground line under them from edge to edge.
Step 9: Music notes
Above the turntable on the left, draw 2 music notes: a filled-in oval with a stem and a flag.
Step 10: Stone rim, pink cheeks
Colour the turntable rim light stone grey and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Red label, wood box
Colour the label red. Colour the box wood brown around the cheeks, knobs and arm circle, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Slate grey
Colour the record around the label slate grey, then the feet, knobs and arm circle. Let the music play!
