How to Draw a Troll
Draw a troll in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big wide head.
Step 1: Big wide head
Near the top, draw a big head wider than tall, with fat cheeks and a narrow chin.
Tip The head is almost half the whole troll.
Step 2: Tall hair
Start on the left of the forehead. Draw tall wavy hair up to a soft point, down, and back across.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Pointy leaf ears
On each side of the head, draw a long pointy leaf ear sticking out. Add a smaller leaf inside.
Step 5: Ball nose
Under the eyes, in the middle, draw a round ball nose about as big as an eye.
Step 6: Smile and tongue
Under the nose, draw a wide open smile. Add a curved line inside for the tongue.
Step 7: Pear body
Start under the left cheek. Draw a big pear body, back to the right cheek. Add an egg tummy patch.
Step 8: Arms and mittens
Start under the left cheek. Draw a fat sausage arm down to a mitten on the tummy. Do both sides.
Step 9: Legs and feet
Low on each side of the body, draw a round C leg poking out. Add a flat foot under it.
Step 10: Gem and ground
Draw a small round gem in the middle of the tummy. Draw a long ground line under both feet.
Step 11: Pink hair, sky tummy
Colour the hair, tongue and insides of the ears pink. Colour the tummy patch sky blue.
Step 12: Purple nose, teal skin
Colour the nose, gem and mouth purple. Colour the troll teal around them and the tummy. Leave the eyes white.
