How to Draw a Triskele
Draw a triskele in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: first curl.
Step 1: First curl
Start in the middle. Draw a line that curls up and round like a snail shell. Stop inside the curl.
Tip A triskele is 3 spirals joined in the middle. It is a very old Celtic sign.
Step 2: Make it fat
Start at the curl's end. Go round it and draw back out beside your first line. Stop near the middle.
Tip Keep the 2 lines the same distance apart, like a road.
Step 3: Second curl
Start where you stopped. Draw a curl out to the lower left, winding the same way. Stop inside it.
Step 4: Fat second curl
Start at this curl's end. Go round it and draw back beside the line. Stop near the middle again.
Step 5: Third curl
Start where you stopped. Draw the last curl out to the lower right, winding the same way. Stop inside it.
Tip Turn your page to check: all 3 curls should look the same.
Step 6: Join it up
Start at the last curl's end. Go round it and draw back. Stop where your very first line started.
Step 7: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the triskele draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 8: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 9: Floor and shadow
Under the 2 bottom curls draw a thin flat oval shadow. Add a floor line out from each side.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow
Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.
Step 11: Green triskele
Go over your lines, then colour all 3 curls green. Your triskele is done!
