How to Draw a Crocodile Plane

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a crocodile plane in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

On the left, draw a long low snout with a bumped nose tip, and a tall round dome behind.

Tip The snout is long and low like a plank.

  2. Step 2: The lower jaw

Start under the back of the head. Draw a thin jaw forward under the snout, stopping on the mouth line.

Tip The nose pokes out past the jaw.

  3. Step 3: Pointy teeth

From the mouth corner, draw 6 little triangles hanging from the mouth line like a zigzag, stopping behind the nose.

  4. Step 4: Two periscope eyes

Draw a big circle perched on top of the dome, and a smaller one behind it. Add dots and shines.

Tip Crocodile eyes sit up on top like periscopes.

  5. Step 5: Bumpy back and tail

Start behind the second eye. Draw round hills along the back, then a smooth tail curling up to a point.

  6. Step 6: The tummy

Start under the chin. Draw one long low tummy curve back, then up the tail to meet the point.

  7. Step 7: Wheels

Under the chest draw 2 short legs hanging from the tummy. Add a round wheel with a dot on each.

  8. Step 8: The big wing

Start on the tummy behind the wheels. Swoop down and back to a round tip, then up to the tummy.

Tip Wide at the body, narrow at the tip.

  9. Step 9: Far wing and fin

Behind the bumps draw a thin wing tip sloping back. Near the tail draw a taller fin leaning back.

  10. Step 10: Propeller on the nose

On the tip of the snout draw a small circle. Add 2 paddle blades, one up and one down.

  11. Step 11: Cream tummy, red wings

Go over your lines. Colour the tummy and lower jaw cream, and the 2 wings and the fin red.

  12. Step 12: Grey propeller and wheels

Colour the propeller, the 2 little legs and the 2 wheels grey.

  13. Step 13: Green crocodile

Colour the bumps on the back dark green and the rest leaf green. Leave the eyes and teeth white.
