How to Draw Lungs
Draw lungs in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the left lobe.
Step 1: The left lobe
Left of the middle of your paper draw a big bean standing up, with a round shoulder and round bottom.
Tip Each lobe is a big fat bean, taller than wide.
Step 2: The right lobe
Do the same on the right, a finger away from the first bean, a mirror of it.
Step 3: The windpipe
Start on the left lobe's top inner corner. Draw a line up, across and down to the right lobe.
Tip The windpipe is like a short straw standing between the lungs.
Step 4: Two branches
From the bottom of the windpipe draw a fat short tube slanting down into each lobe, like an upside-down Y.
Step 5: Little twigs
From the end of each branch draw 2 short twigs like a small Y, getting thinner, with round tips.
Step 6: Rings on the windpipe
Across the windpipe draw 3 short lines from one side to the other, evenly spaced.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars round the lungs, one near each corner.
Step 8: Peach pipes
Go over your lines, then colour the windpipe, the 2 branches and their twigs peach.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles
Colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Pink lobes
Colour both lobes pink, going around the peach branches, and your lungs are done!
