How to Draw a Trifle
Draw a trifle in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the glass rim.
Step 1: The glass rim
Near the middle of your paper, draw a wide flat oval for the rim of a glass bowl.
Tip Leave room above for the cream and below for the tall glass.
Step 2: The glass bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a tall bowl down and round, up to the right end.
Step 3: The foot
Start on the bowl bottom. Draw a short neck, a wide flat base with round ends, then back up.
Step 4: Layer lines
Inside the glass, draw 3 gentle curves across from side to side, spaced out down the bowl.
Tip A trifle is built in layers you can see through the glass.
Step 5: Whipped cream
Start on the rim, left of middle. Draw 3 round bulges up to a peak, then down to the rim.
Step 6: A cherry
On the peak, draw a round cherry with a short stem and a little leaf pointing right.
Step 7: The table
Draw a long table line under the foot, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Yellow custard
Go over your lines, then colour the layer under the top one yellow for custard. Leave the cream white.
Step 9: Sponge and jelly
Colour the bottom layer tan for sponge and the next layer up red for jelly.
Step 10: Pink sprinkles
Colour little pink sprinkle dots on the cream.
Step 11: Red cherry, green leaf
Colour the cherry red, leaving a little white shine, and the leaf green. Your trifle is done!
