How to Draw a Gumball
Draw a gumball in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big gumball.
Step 1: Big gumball
A little left of the middle of your paper, draw a big round ball, as big as your fist.
Step 2: A shine
On the upper left draw a thin slanted sliver. Add a tiny dot beside its top, not touching.
Step 3: Second gumball
To the right, tucked behind the big one, draw a smaller ball. Start and stop on the big ball.
Step 4: Peeking ball
Behind the second ball, at the right, draw another ball peeking out. Start and stop on the second ball.
Step 5: One on the left
Draw a ball on the left, tucked behind the big ball, its bottom level with the others.
Step 6: Little shines
On each of the other 3 balls draw a small slanted sliver for its shine.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a ground line under the balls from well left to well right, touching their bottoms.
Step 8: A shadow
Under the big ball, draw a short flat half-oval hanging under the ground line for its shadow.
Step 9: Yellow and grey
Go over your lines. Colour the far right ball yellow, leaving its shine white, and the shadow grey.
Step 10: Green ball
Colour the left ball green, leaving its shine white.
Step 11: Blue ball
Colour the second ball blue, leaving its shine white.
Step 12: Red gumball
Colour the big ball red, leaving the shines white, and your gumballs are done!
