How to Draw a Tree House
Draw a tree house in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the trunk.
Step 1: The trunk
Start near the bottom. Draw 2 trunk lines close together up, spreading at the top like a Y, then stop.
Step 2: The leafy top
Above the trunk draw a wide cloud of leaves with 7 round bumps and a flat bottom.
Step 3: The platform
Along the bottom of the leaves draw a long thick plank that covers the bottom edge.
Step 4: The roof
Up in the leaves, above the platform, draw a little pointy roof with a thick brim, like a cottage roof.
Step 5: The walls
Start under the brim's left end. Draw a wall down to the platform, across, and back up to the brim.
Step 6: Door and windows
In the middle of the wall draw an arched door. Add a square window each side with a plus inside.
Step 7: The ground
From the trunk draw a ground line each way, stopping before the edge. Add 3 grass blades near each end.
Step 8: The ladder
Left of the trunk draw 2 thin poles from the platform down to the ground. Add 5 rungs across.
Step 9: Swing and apples
On the right draw 2 ropes down from the platform, stopping at a flat seat. Add 3 apples.
Step 10: Sky windows, red apples
Colour the windows sky blue and the apples red.
Step 11: Red roof, wooden house
Colour the roof red. Colour the walls, platform, ladder and swing seat wood brown, around the windows.
Step 12: Green leaves, brown trunk
Colour the leaves green, around the house and apples. Colour the trunk brown. Your tree house is done!
