How to Draw a Train Station
Draw a train station in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the station front.
Step 1: The station front
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide box for the front of the station.
Step 2: The roof ledge
On top of the box draw a thin flat ledge that sticks out a little past each side.
Step 3: Gable and clock
On the middle of the ledge draw a little pointy roof, from the ledge back down to it. Clock inside!
Step 4: The door
In the middle, start on the bottom line and draw a tall door back down to it. Add a knob.
Step 5: Two windows
On each side of the door draw a square window with a cross inside, as tall as the door's top.
Step 6: The platform canopy
Above the door draw a thin roof across the front. From each end draw a post down to the ground.
Step 7: The sign board
Between the roof ledge and the canopy draw a long flat sign board across the wall.
Step 8: The station name
Write STATION in big capital letters across the sign board.
Step 9: Step and ground
Draw a low step across the bottom of the door. Draw a ground line from each corner out to the side.
Step 10: The tracks
Just under the ground, draw 2 long lines across the paper for rails. Add planks crossing under them.
Step 11: Cream walls, yellow sign
Colour the walls and gable cream, going round the windows, door, canopy and clock. Colour the sign yellow.
Step 12: Sky windows, red canopy
Colour the windows and the clock sky blue, and the canopy red.
Step 13: Blue door, brown planks
Colour the door, ledge and step blue, and the planks brown. Go over your lines and you're done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a train station, drawn by you.
