How to Draw a Blanket Fort
Draw a blanket fort in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the blanket.
Step 1: The blanket
In the middle of your paper, draw a big blanket: straight sides, soft corners, a top sagging in the middle.
Step 2: Chair backs
At each top corner, draw a tall thin chair back with a rounded top, standing just outside the blanket.
Tip The blanket hangs from two chairs.
Step 3: Seats and legs
Under each chair back, draw a flat seat, then 2 thin legs down to the floor with a rung.
Step 4: The floor
Draw the floor line right across the paper under the chair legs and the blanket.
Step 5: The doorway
In the middle, draw a tent doorway from the floor up to a point and back down to the floor.
Step 6: A pillow
Inside the doorway, on the floor, draw a puffy pillow with 4 little pointy corners.
Step 7: A flag
From the sag in the blanket top, draw a pole straight up to a round knob. Add a triangle flag.
Step 8: Polka dots
Draw 8 round dots scattered over the blanket, keeping out of the doorway.
Step 9: Yellow dots and flag
Colour the dots, the flag and its knob yellow.
Step 10: Wooden chairs, pink pillow
Colour the chair backs, seats and legs wood brown, and the pillow pink. Go over your lines.
Step 11: Blue blanket, dark doorway
Colour the blanket blue around the dots and doorway, and the doorway slate grey around the pillow. You're done!
