How to Draw a Town Hall
Draw a town hall in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: long building.
Step 1: Long building
Across the lower half of your paper draw a long low box for the building.
Tip Leave plenty of room above for the tower.
Step 2: Middle block
Draw a taller middle box, up past the roof. Along the roof add a thin ledge poking out both ends.
Step 3: Pointed roof
On top of the middle block draw a wide flat triangle, a little wider than the block.
Step 4: Clock tower
Behind the triangle's point draw a tall box for the tower, with a thin wider ledge on top.
Tip A town hall has a tall clock tower in the middle.
Step 5: Tower roof
On the tower draw a tall pointed roof. Add a short pole on top with a little triangle flag.
Step 6: The clock
In the middle of the tower draw a big round clock with 2 hands.
Tip Draw the long hand straight up and the short hand off to one side.
Step 7: Four columns
On the middle block draw 4 tall thin columns, evenly spaced, each with a wider flat cap on top.
Tip Leave a gap in the middle for the door.
Step 8: Steps and door
Across the bottom of the block draw a wide low box for the steps. Add an arched door.
Step 9: Wing windows
On each wing draw 3 tall arched windows in the middle, evenly spaced.
Tip Make all 6 windows the same size.
Step 10: Ground and bushes
From each bottom corner draw a ground line out to the paper edge. Add a bumpy bush at each end.
Step 11: Cream walls
Colour the walls, columns and tower cream, going around the clock, windows, door, steps and bushes.
Tip Cream is the lightest colour, so it goes first.
Step 12: Stone roof and steps
Colour the wide pointed roof, both ledges and the steps stone grey.
Step 13: Windows and bushes
Colour the windows sky blue and the bushes leaf green.
Step 14: Red roof and door
Colour the tower roof, the flag and the door red. Go over your lines and your town hall is done!
