How to Draw a Tongue Sticking Out
Draw a tongue sticking out in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.
Step 1: Big egg head
Near the top of your paper draw a big soft egg head. Make the chin a bit narrower.
Tip Make it big, about two thirds of the page tall.
Step 2: Two ears
On each side, start below the middle. Draw a C ear back to the head. Add a small C inside.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes, an eye apart. Add black dots with white shines.
Step 4: Nose, smile, cheeks
Draw a tiny U nose between the eyes, a smile under it from eye to eye, and 2 oval cheeks.
Step 5: Tongue out
Start on the smile left of centre. Draw a fat U down, stop right of centre. Add a centre line.
Step 6: Eyebrows
Above each eye draw a little rainbow eyebrow, from the outer corner to the inner corner.
Step 7: Tufty hair
Start on the head above the left ear. Draw soft round bumps over the top, stop above the right ear.
Tip Soft bumps like little clouds, not spikes.
Step 8: Fringe
Start at the same left point. Draw 4 soft bumps hanging over the forehead and stop at the right point.
Step 9: Neck and shirt
Under the chin draw 2 short neck lines. Draw a shoulder sloping down from each. Add a U collar.
Step 10: Peach skin
Colour the face, ears and neck peach, around the cheeks and the tongue. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Pink tongue, ginger hair
Colour the tongue and the cheeks pink, and the hair ginger.
Step 12: Blue shirt
Colour the shirt blue. Go over your lines and your cheeky face is done.
