How to Draw a Tongue Out Emoji

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a tongue out emoji in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the face.

Print

  1. Step 1: The face

In the middle of your paper draw one big round face, nearly as big as the page.

  2. Step 2: Two eyes

Above the middle draw 2 tall oval eyes, a gap apart. Colour them black, leaving a white shine in each.

  3. Step 3: Eyebrows

Above each eye draw a short curved line like a little rainbow for a happy eyebrow.

  4. Step 4: A big grin

Start below the left eye's outer edge. Draw a big swooping smile and stop below the right eye's outer edge.

  5. Step 5: Tongue out

From the smile, left of the middle, draw a fat U tongue. Stop on the smile, right of the middle.

Tip The tongue is big and floppy: that is the whole joke!

  6. Step 6: Tongue line

Draw a short line down the middle of the tongue, from just under the smile, stopping before the bottom.

  7. Step 7: Shine

Near the top left, a finger inside the edge, draw a short shine line curving along the edge.

  8. Step 8: Two cheeks

Just past each end of the smile, draw a small flat oval for a cheek. Leave a little gap.

  9. Step 9: Colour it yellow

Colour the face bright yellow, going around the eyes, the tongue and the cheeks.

  10. Step 10: Pink tongue and cheeks

Colour the tongue and the cheeks pink. Your tongue-out emoji is done!
