How to Draw a Recycling Symbol
Draw a recycling symbol in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the first arrow.
Step 1: The first arrow
On the right draw a fat ribbon going down, then bending round the corner to go left a little way.
Tip 3 fat arrows chasing each other in a triangle: that is the recycling sign.
Step 2: Its arrowhead
On the end of the first arrow draw a big wide arrowhead, pointing the way the arrow is going.
Step 3: The second arrow
After a small gap draw the same ribbon going left along the bottom, then bending up the left side.
Step 4: Its arrowhead too
Draw the same big arrowhead on the end of the second arrow, pointing up towards the top.
Step 5: The third arrow
After another gap draw the third ribbon going up the left side to the top, then bending down right.
Step 6: The last arrowhead
Draw the last big arrowhead, pointing down the right side. Now the 3 arrows chase each other round.
Step 7: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the sign draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 8: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles
Colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Green arrows
Colour the 3 arrows and their heads green. Go over your lines and your recycling sign is done!
