How to Draw a Toaster
Draw a toaster in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the toaster box.
Step 1: The toaster box
In the middle of your paper draw a big soft box with round corners, wider than tall.
Tip Like a loaf-shaped box with soft corners.
Step 2: Toast popping up
Draw 2 slices of toast popping up. Start and stop each one just below the top edge.
Tip Give each slice a soft, puffy top with a little dip in the middle.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the front, left of middle, draw 2 big egg eyes with a black dot and white shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Draw a small flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 5: Two slots
Under the top edge draw a flat oval slot round the bottom of each slice. Only draw what you see.
Step 6: Lever and dial
Draw a tall line by the right edge, with a lever box poking out. Add a dial to its left.
Step 7: Crusts
Inside each slice draw a second bumpy line a finger in from the edge, for the crust.
Step 8: Feet and table
Under the box draw 2 short square feet, 1 near each corner, and a table line under them.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, sky toaster
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink, then the toaster sky blue around them, leaving eyes and slots white.
Step 10: Tan toast, brown crust
Colour the toast tan and the crusts around the edges brown.
Step 11: Grey feet, black slots
Colour the feet and lever grey and the slots black, and your toaster is done!

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a toaster, drawn by you.
