How to Draw a Pool Table
Draw a pool table in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the table top.
Step 1: The table top
A little above the middle draw a wide squashed box for the table top, narrower along the top edge.
Tip We look down on the table, so the back edge is shorter than the front.
Step 2: The green felt
Inside the top draw the same shape a little way in. The band between them is the wooden rail.
Step 3: Six pockets
Draw a small flat oval on each felt corner, and one in the middle of the back and front.
Step 4: Apron and legs
Under the front edge draw a thin apron. Under that draw a thick leg at each end to the floor.
Step 5: Three balls
On the felt draw 3 small balls: 2 close together at the upper left, 1 lower at the right.
Step 6: The cue
Draw a long cue on the felt, from near the bottom left pocket slanting up under the 2 balls.
Step 7: Floor and sparkles
Draw one long floor line under the legs, and 3 sparkles above the table.
Step 8: Sparkles and cue
Colour the sparkles yellow and the cue tan.
Step 9: Wood rails and legs
Colour the rail band, the apron and the legs wood brown, going around the pockets.
Step 10: Red ball
Colour the right ball of the pair red, and leave the left one white.
Step 11: Green felt
Colour the felt green, going around the pockets, the balls and the cue.
Step 12: Black pockets, 8-ball
Colour the 6 pockets and the lower ball black, leaving a tiny white dot. Your pool table is done!
