How to Draw a Pumpkin Carriage
Draw a pumpkin carriage in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: middle bump.
Step 1: Middle bump
Above the middle of your paper, draw a tall bump with a shallow dip on top and a sagging bottom.
Tip Fattest below halfway. The dip on top is where the stem grows.
Step 2: Fat side bumps
Start under the bump's left shoulder. Draw a big fat C out and down, back to the bump. Same right.
Step 3: Slim outer bumps
Start on the outside of each side bump. Draw a slimmer C just past it, back to the side bump.
Step 4: The stem
Start on the dip. Draw a short stem up with a flat top, back down to the dip.
Step 5: Round window
In the middle of the middle bump, draw a round window with a cross inside, from edge to edge.
Step 6: Little door
In the middle of the right side bump, draw a tall arched door with a little round knob.
Step 7: Two wheels
Under the pumpkin, draw 2 round wheels, one each side, their tops tucked behind the pumpkin.
Step 8: Spokes
In each wheel, draw a small hub circle and 4 short spokes out to the edge: up, down, left, right.
Step 9: Leaf and curly vine
Halfway up the stem, draw a small leaf on the left. From the right, swing a vine into a swirl.
Step 10: The ground
Draw the ground line from the left edge to the right edge, just touching the bottom of both wheels.
Step 11: Wheels, door, window
Go over your lines, then colour the wheels and the door yellow, and the window sky blue.
Step 12: Orange pumpkin
Colour the whole pumpkin orange, going around the window and the door.
Step 13: Green stem and leaf
Colour the stem and the leaf green, and your pumpkin carriage is done!
