How to Draw a Medicine Bottle
Draw a medicine bottle in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bottle.
Step 1: The bottle
Draw a wide tub in the middle of your paper: flat top, straight sides, round bottom, nearly square.
Tip Leave room above for the cap. Medicine bottles are short and chunky.
Step 2: Two big eyes
High on the bottle draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, with a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The wide cap
On top of the bottle draw a wide flat cap with round corners, poking out a little past the sides.
Step 5: Cap ridges
Draw 5 short lines down the cap, evenly spaced, for the grip ridges.
Step 6: The label
Low on the bottle, under the smile, draw a small rounded label with a chunky plus sign in the middle.
Step 7: Shine
Draw a short light curve up the left side of the bottle, beside the eyes, for a shine.
Step 8: Two pills
On each side of the bottle draw a small pill lying on the table, with a line across its middle.
Step 9: Table and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow around the bottle's bottom, and a table line out from each end, under the pills.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, orange bottle
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink, then the bottle orange around them, leaving the label and eyes white.
Step 11: Red plus, red pills
Colour the plus sign red, and colour the left half of each pill red.
Step 12: Grey shadow, white cap
Colour the shadow grey and leave the cap white. Your medicine bottle is done!
