How to Draw a Tetherball
Draw a tetherball in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
On the right of your paper, in the middle, draw a round ball as big as an orange.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the ball draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Add a black dot in each with a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add an oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The pole
Left of the middle draw a tall thin pole from near the top down to just above the ground.
Step 5: The base
At the bottom of the pole draw a low wide block with slanted sides.
Step 6: The rope
Start on the pole near the top. Draw a long rope that dips a little, stopping at the ball.
Step 7: Coil lines
Just under the top of the pole draw 3 short slanted curves across it for the wrapped rope.
Step 8: Swing marks
On the right of the ball draw 2 short curved lines, one outside the other, to show it swinging.
Step 9: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a straight ground line across, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Two sparkles
Draw 2 little 4-point sparkles on the left of the pole, one high and one low.
Step 11: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Yellow ball
Colour the ball and the sparkles yellow, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Grey pole and base
Colour the pole dark grey and the base black.
