How to Draw a Deep Fryer Basket
Draw a deep fryer basket in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pot.
Step 1: The pot
Near the bottom draw a wide pot on the ground: a box a little narrower at the bottom.
Step 2: The oil
From the pot's top corners draw 2 short lines slanting in and up. Join them across for the oil.
Step 3: The basket
Draw the basket going down into the oil: a wide top and 2 sides stopping at the pot's front.
Tip Rub out the back line of the oil inside the basket.
Step 4: The wire grid
Inside the basket draw 3 lines down and 2 lines across, from edge to edge, for the wire mesh.
Step 5: The handle
From the basket's right side draw a long thin handle slanting up, with a fat grip at the end.
Step 6: The fries
Standing up out of the basket draw 4 long thin fries, different heights and leans, bottoms hidden in the basket.
Step 7: Basket rim
Draw a line across the basket just under its top edge, from side to side, for the thick wire rim.
Step 8: Bubbles
On the oil draw 2 little round bubbles, 1 on each side of the basket.
Step 9: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a ground line across under it, stopping before the right edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw 3 little 4-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 11: Yellow fries, orange oil
Go over your lines. Colour the fries and sparkles yellow, and the oil orange on each side of the basket.
Step 12: Slate pot and basket
Colour the pot and the basket slate grey, and the long handle grey.
Step 13: Black grip
Colour the handle grip black, and your deep fryer basket is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a deep fryer basket, drawn by you.
