How to Draw a Thermos

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a thermos in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.

Print

  1. Step 1: The body

In the middle draw a tall box standing up, more than twice as tall as wide, with round bottom corners.

Tip Like a tall tin can.

  2. Step 2: 2 big eyes

Near the top of the body draw 2 big egg eyes close together. Colour a black dot in each.

  3. Step 3: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.

  4. Step 4: The collar

On top of the body draw a short flat band a little narrower than the body, for the neck.

  5. Step 5: The cup lid

On top of the collar draw a short wide cup, like an upside-down flowerpot. Add a line near its top.

  6. Step 6: A stripe

Across the body, below the cheeks, draw a flat stripe: 2 lines from the left side to the right side.

  7. Step 7: The handle

On the right side, beside the face, draw a C handle out and back. Add a smaller C inside.

  8. Step 8: The table

Draw the table line from the left edge of the paper to the right edge, just touching the bottom.

  9. Step 9: Pink cheeks

    Colour the cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Green body

Go over your lines, then colour the body green around the cheeks, leaving the eyes and stripe white.

  11. Step 11: Grey cup and collar

Colour the cup lid, the collar and the handle dark grey, and your thermos is done!
