How to Draw a Tennis Player
Draw a tennis player in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head. The chin is a little narrower.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big round eyes, each with a dot and a shine. Add a small nose and a smile.
Step 3: Short hair
Start on the left side of the head. Draw soft tufts over the top and stop on the right.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 short neck lines. Start at the left one, draw a shirt with sleeves, stop at the right one.
Step 5: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending out at the elbow and getting thinner.
Step 6: Mitten hands
Start at each wrist, draw a mitten with a little thumb pointing in, and stop at the other side.
Step 7: The racket
From the bottom of the right mitten draw a long handle slanting up. Add an oval racket head with strings.
Tip The racket head is taller than it is wide.
Step 8: Long shorts
Start at the bottom left of the shirt. Draw baggy shorts past the knees. Stop at the bottom right.
Step 9: Legs, sneakers, ball
From each shorts leg, draw a leg down to a sneaker with a sole. Add the ground and a ball.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink, then the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow ball, green shirt
Colour the ball yellow and the shirt green. Leave the shorts and sneakers white.
Step 12: Red racket, black hair
Colour the racket red, leaving the strings white, and the hair black. Go over your lines.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a tennis player, drawn by you.
