How to Draw a Tanker Truck
Draw a tanker truck in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall flat-front cab.
Step 1: Tall flat-front cab
Start low on the left. Draw up, a short roof back, straight down, and back along the bottom.
Tip The cab is taller than it is wide.
Step 2: The long tank
Behind the cab, draw one long fat sausage on its side, round at both ends, as long as 3 cabs.
Step 3: Big headlight eye
Low on the front of the cab, draw a big round headlight. Add a black dot with 2 white shines.
Step 4: Frame, tyres and road
Under the tank, draw a flat frame bar. Add 3 tyres with hubs, one under the cab, and a road.
Step 5: Windscreen and door
Draw a big window up high. From under it, draw a door line down to the bottom. Add a handle.
Step 6: Smile and bumper
From under the eye, draw a bold U smile curling up to the front. Add a bumper.
Step 7: Tank rings and hatches
Draw 2 upright lines across the tank, from the top edge down to the bottom. Add a hump over each.
Step 8: Back ladder
At the back of the tank, draw 2 lines from the frame up to the top. Add 4 rungs.
Step 9: Sky window, pink cheek
Colour the window sky blue, leaving a shine white, and add a pink cheek. Leave the eye white.
Step 10: Stone tank, grey hubs
Colour the tank stone grey, leaving the hatches white. Colour the hubs and handle grey.
Step 11: Blue cab
Colour the cab blue, going around the window, eye, cheek and handle.
Step 12: Slate frame, black tyres
Go over your lines. Colour the frame and bumper slate, the tyres black around the hubs, and the dots black.
