How to Draw a Fire Boat
Draw a fire boat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the waves.
Step 1: The waves
Below the middle, draw a line of wave bumps from the left edge to the right. Add 4 ripples underneath.
Step 2: The hull
Start on the waves. Sweep up to a pointed bow, along the top and down. Add a stripe line below.
Tip The bottom of the boat hides under the water, so leave it out.
Step 3: Cabin and roof
Start on the deck. Draw a leaning wall up, across, and down, stop on the deck. Add a flat roof.
Step 4: Three windows
Draw 3 square windows in a row across the cabin.
Step 5: Mast and light
Start on the roof, draw a thin mast up and back down, stop on the roof. Add a round light.
Step 6: Two water cannons
On each end of the deck draw a small stand. On each stand draw a fat tube leaning outwards.
Tip Point the front tube up to the left and the back tube up to the right.
Step 7: Front water arc
From the front tube draw a wide arc of water, up and over like a rainbow. End with 3 bumps.
Tip The water gets wider the further it goes.
Step 8: Back water arc
From the back tube draw the same arc the other way, up and over, ending with 3 bumps.
Step 9: Falling drops
Draw 3 big drops falling from the end of each arc, 6 drops in all.
Step 10: Yellow light and stripe
Colour the light on the mast yellow. Colour the stripe along the top of the hull yellow.
Step 11: Light blue water
Colour both water arcs and all 6 drops light blue. Colour the 3 windows light blue too.
Step 12: Blue sea
Colour the sea blue, from the wave bumps down to the bottom of your paper.
Step 13: Grey cannons and mast
Colour both tubes, both stands and the mast grey.
Step 14: Red fire boat
Go over your lines. Colour the hull and the roof red. Leave the cabin walls white.
