How to Draw Tandoori Chicken
Draw tandoori chicken in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
A little below the middle draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate, all the way round, for the rim.
Step 3: The first drumstick
On the left draw a big lump of meat. From its top right draw a bone with a knobbly knuckle.
Tip Tandoori chicken is roasted bright red in a clay oven.
Step 4: A smaller drumstick
Lower and to the right draw a smaller drumstick pointing right, its meat below the first bone.
Step 5: Charred cuts
Draw 3 short slanted cuts across the big drumstick's meat and 2 on the small one, pointy at both ends.
Step 6: A lemon wedge
At the top right of the plate draw a half-round lemon wedge with a curve inside and 3 short lines.
Step 7: A chutney cup
Below the lemon draw a small oval. From its left end dip a U down to its right end.
Tip Add a smaller oval inside for the green chutney.
Step 8: Coriander
Between the bone and the lemon draw 2 pointed leaves fanning out from one point, each with a middle line.
Step 9: Red chicken, cream bones
Go over your lines, then colour the meat red around the cuts, and the bones cream.
Step 10: Brown cuts, yellow lemon
Colour the cuts brown and the lemon wedge yellow.
Step 11: Green leaves and chutney
Colour the leaves and the chutney green, and the cup white.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue around the food.
