Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: first cube.

Print

  1. Step 1: First cube

Low on the left, draw a big square with soft corners. Add a thin slanted top and right side.

  2. Step 2: Second cube

Right beside it, touching, draw a second cube just the same.

  3. Step 3: Cube on top

On top of the 2, in the middle, draw a third box the same, set back a little.

Tip Its bottom hides a little of the cubes below.

  4. Step 4: The table

Draw a table line under the cubes from well left to well right, just touching their bottoms.

  5. Step 5: A shadow

Draw a thin flat curve just below the table line, from under the left cube to under the right cube.

  6. Step 6: Sugar grains

Dot 4 tiny sugar grains on the front of each cube, spread apart.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles

Draw a four-point sparkle above the top cube and one out to each side.

  8. Step 8: White cubes

Go over your lines, then leave the fronts of the cubes white and colour their top and side faces cream.

  9. Step 9: Sky sparkles

    Colour the sparkles sky blue.

  10. Step 10: Grey shadow

Colour the shadow grey, and your sugar cubes are done!
