How to Draw Taekwondo
Draw taekwondo in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle, draw 2 big eyes with black dots and shines. Add a tiny nose and a smile.
Step 3: Padded headgear
Draw a headgear over the top of the head, from eyebrow to eyebrow. Add a double band across the forehead.
Tip A soft padded helmet, like a thick hat with no brim.
Step 4: Neck and dobok
Draw 2 neck lines, then a sleeved top from the left one round to the right. Add a V collar.
Step 5: Punching arm
From the left sleeve, draw 2 arm lines out to a thin wrist. Add a round fist with a thumb.
Step 6: Guard arm up
From the right sleeve, draw the arm down to a round elbow, then up to a fist by the shoulder.
Tip Bent like a V, thicker at the sleeve than the wrist. Draw a thumb across the fist.
Step 7: The red belt
Start at the left side, draw 2 belt lines across, stop at the right. Add a knot and 2 tails.
Tip Keep the tails short, above the legs.
Step 8: Kicking trousers
Start at the dobok's left corner. Draw a leg down, then a kicking leg out, stopping at the right corner.
Tip Fat at the top, thin at the ankles. Add a little crease behind the knee.
Step 9: Bare feet and floor
Draw a foot under the standing leg, toes pointing left, and a foot on the kick. Add the floor line.
Tip Give each foot a round heel and round toes. Run the floor line under the standing foot.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, peach skin
Colour 2 pink cheeks, then the face, neck, arms, fists and feet peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Red headgear and belt
Colour the headgear red, and the belt, knot and tails red too.
Step 12: Black collar
Colour the V collar black. Leave the dobok white. Go over your lines, and you are done!
