How to Draw a Hand
Draw a hand in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the palm.
Step 1: The palm
In the middle of your paper draw a big rounded shape like a fat egg, bulging at the top left.
Tip Leave lots of room above for the fingers and left for the thumb.
Step 2: The middle finger
Right of the middle, start a tall finger on the palm line: up, round the tip, down to the line.
Tip Fingers are a bit fatter at the bottom than at the tip.
Step 3: Pointing and ring fingers
Draw a shorter finger each side of the middle one, starting and stopping on the palm. Leave a V gap.
Step 4: The little finger
On the right draw the shortest finger, leaning out: start on the palm, up, round the tip, down to it.
Step 5: The thumb
From the left bulge draw a fat thumb leaning out left, getting narrower, round the tip, back to the palm.
Step 6: Wrist and sleeve
Draw 2 straight wrist lines down from the palm to a wide sleeve. Rub out the palm line between them.
Step 7: Nails
Near the top of each finger and the thumb draw a rounded nail, a bit narrower than the finger.
Step 8: Knuckles
Just above the palm draw a small curve on each finger for the knuckle.
Step 9: Colour the skin peach
Colour the hand, wrist, fingers and thumb peach, going around the nails.
Step 10: Pink nails, blue sleeve
Colour the nails pink and the sleeve blue. Go over your lines and your hand is done.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a hand, drawn by you.
