How to Draw a Kissing Face
Draw a kissing face in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top draw a big soft egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip A cartoon head is big: nearly two thirds of the page.
Step 2: Two ears
On each side draw a C ear from the head line out and back to it. Add a smaller C.
Step 3: Happy shut eyes
Below the middle draw 2 upside-down U's for shut eyes, a gap apart. Add a tiny lash on each.
Tip Shut-tight happy eyes are upside-down Us.
Step 4: Nose and kissy lips
Below the eyes draw a tiny U nose. Under it draw 2 small round bumps stacked up for the lips.
Tip Keep the lips small and puckered, only a little wider than the nose.
Step 5: Eyebrows
Above each shut eye draw a short curved line like a little rainbow.
Step 6: A little heart
In the air to the right of the head, above the ear, draw a little heart floating away.
Step 7: Hair cap
Start just above the left ear. Draw 7 soft round tufts over the head, stopping above the right ear.
Tip Soft bumps like little clouds, not spikes.
Step 8: Hairline
Start at the same left point. Draw a curve like a rainbow over the eyebrows, ending at the right point.
Step 9: Neck and shirt
Under the chin draw 2 short neck lines. From each draw a shoulder sloping down to the page bottom.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, pink shirt
Rub a soft pink circle on each cheek. Colour the shirt pink too.
Step 11: Peach skin, ginger hair
Colour the face, ears and neck peach, around the cheeks and lips. Colour the hair ginger.
Step 12: Red lips and heart
Colour the lips and the little heart red. Go over your lines and your kissing face is done.
