How to Draw a Professor

Step 1: The head

Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

Step 2: The face

Below the middle of the head draw 2 dot eyes with a shine, a tiny nose and a smile.

Step 3: Glasses and beard

Draw a big round lens around each eye, with a tiny bridge. Add a U beard from cheek to cheek.

Step 4: Ears and hair tufts

On each side draw a C ear and a fluffy tuft above it. Start and stop each on the head.

Tip The professor is bald on top.

Step 5: The jacket

Under the beard draw a jacket with round shoulders, from one side of the beard back to the other.

Step 6: Bow tie and lapels

Draw a bow tie under the beard, then 2 lapels from the beard to a V and a line down.

Step 7: Long sleeves

Draw each sleeve with 2 lines from the shoulder and the armpit down to the wrist. Add a cuff line.

Tip Rub out the shoulder line inside each sleeve.

Step 8: Mitten hands

At the bottom of each arm draw a mitten like an egg bottom, with a little thumb bump pointing in.

Step 9: A book

Under the left hand draw a tall rectangle book, its top hidden behind the hand. Add a spine line.

Step 10: Trousers

Start at the jacket's bottom left corner. Draw trousers with 2 long legs, and stop at the bottom right corner.

Step 11: Shoes and ground

Under each leg draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.

Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the skin peach, around the cheeks, and the cheeks pink. Leave the lenses white.

Step 13: Grey hair, red tie

Colour the hair tufts, beard and trousers grey. Colour the bow tie and book red.

Step 14: Brown jacket, black shoes

Colour the jacket and sleeves brown and the shoes black, leaving the shirt white. Your professor is done!
