How to Draw a Tablet

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a tablet in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tablet.

Print

  1. Step 1: The tablet

In the middle of your paper draw a wide box with soft round corners, wider than it is tall.

  2. Step 2: The screen

Inside it draw a second box a finger in from the edge all the way round: the screen.

  3. Step 3: A happy face

On the screen draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart, and a wide U smile from eye to eye.

  4. Step 4: Camera and button

On the top frame draw a tiny camera dot. On the right edge draw a tiny bump for the button.

  5. Step 5: App icons

In the top-left of the screen draw 3 tiny squares in a row, a little apart: the apps.

  6. Step 6: Rosy cheeks

Draw a small oval cheek out beside each end of the smile.

  7. Step 7: A shine

Start near the top-right corner of the screen. Draw one light curve down, stopping level with the eyes.

  8. Step 8: Peach cheeks, sky screen

Colour the cheeks peach. Colour the screen sky blue around them, leaving the eyes and icons white.

  9. Step 9: Red and yellow apps

Colour the first and last app red, the middle one yellow.

  10. Step 10: Slate frame

Colour the frame and the button slate grey, around the screen. Go over your lines and your tablet is done!
