How to Draw a Bowling Ball
Draw a bowling ball in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
In the middle of your paper draw one big circle. Leave a finger of room under it.
Tip One slow smooth sweep: a bowling ball is a perfect circle.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
In the middle of the ball draw 2 big round eyes, a finger apart. Add a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye. Draw a wide U smile and stop under the right eye. Add 2 oval cheeks.
Step 4: Finger holes
Above the eyes draw 3 small circles in a little arch. The middle one sits a bit higher.
Step 5: The shine
Near the top left draw one curved shine line. Start low on the left and stop near the top.
Step 6: Lane and shadow
Draw a straight lane line across the paper, touching the bottom of the ball. Add a flat oval shadow underneath.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 2 small sparkle stars, one up on the right and one up on the left, like curvy plus signs.
Step 8: Yellow stars, pink cheeks
Colour the 2 sparkle stars yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 9: Grey shadow
Colour the flat shadow under the ball grey.
Step 10: Purple ball
Colour the ball purple, going around the eyes, holes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Black finger holes
Colour the 3 finger holes black. Go over your lines. Done!
