How to Draw a Pom-Pom

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a pom-pom in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: fluffy ball.

Print

  1. Step 1: Fluffy ball

In the middle of your paper draw a big shaggy ball, with rounded streamer tips all the way round.

Tip Make some tips a little longer than others, so it looks fluffy.

  2. Step 2: Short handle

Under the ball draw a short fat handle with a round end. Start and stop at the ball.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the ball draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Draw a small flat oval cheek beside each end.

  5. Step 5: Streamer lines

Draw 6 long curvy lines. Start each one near the face and stop in a notch between two tips.

  6. Step 6: Grip band

Just under the ball draw a band across the handle, a little wider than the handle.

  7. Step 7: Two sparkles

Draw a small sparkle star up in each top corner, not touching the pom-pom.

  8. Step 8: Yellow sparkles and band

Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles and the grip band yellow.

  9. Step 9: Pink cheeks

    Colour the 2 cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Red ball

Colour the ball red, around the face and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Slate handle

Colour the handle slate, around the yellow band. Your pom-pom is done!
