How to Draw a Tablecloth
Draw a tablecloth in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the table top.
Step 1: The table top
Near the top of your paper draw a wide flat oval for the round table top.
Tip Leave lots of room below for the cloth and the legs.
Step 2: Two sides
From each end of the oval draw a line down, leaning out a little.
Tip Make both sides the same length.
Step 3: The bumpy hem
Start at the left side's end. Draw 6 hanging bumps, lowest in the middle. Stop at the right side's end.
Tip The bumps are the folds of the cloth.
Step 4: The trim line
A little above the hem draw the same bumpy line again, from side to side.
Step 5: Folds
From the front of the oval draw 3 lines down to the trim line: one middle, one each side.
Tip Every fold starts on the oval and stops where 2 bumps meet.
Step 6: Two legs
Under the cloth draw 2 table legs peeking out, each a little thinner going down.
Step 7: The floor
Draw a floor line from the left edge to the right edge, just touching the bottom of the legs.
Step 8: Yellow trim
Go over your lines. Colour the band along the bottom of the cloth yellow.
Step 9: Red cloth
Colour the rest of the cloth red, the top and the hanging part.
Step 10: Brown legs
Colour the 2 legs brown. Your tablecloth is ready for tea!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a tablecloth, drawn by you.
